Stop error reporting in Windows Xp

Almost Windows xp users are facing two common problems.One is sending error message and another is the balloon alert in notification area.But the first problem have faced so much time that some user think it as a part of windows xp.In this problem user show a dialogue box written 'send an Error Report to Microsoft'  at every time when any problem occur in pc.It's really disgusting.If you want to stop this error reporting do the following step...

Select multiple file using mouse

Open any Task bar application without mouse

Hide any folder without software

Today I'll share a very interesting trick for mobile users.This trick is applicable for Nokia s40 handset user.Using this,you can hide any folder of your mobile without any software.For this,First create any folder.Then rename the folder as 'folder name'.jad.that is if you want to hide a folder named 'image' then rename it as image.jad.Now create a new folder named as 'folder name'.jar.That is create a folder named as image.jar.Now you can see that the previous folder become hidden.No one can find the folder.If you want to see the folder,just delete image.jar folder and the image.jad folder appear.You can easily hide any folder containing important file by this process.

Speed up internet using Nokia handset

Many internet user use nokia handset as modem.But it may be become very slower which is really disgusting.You can easily speed up the speed of your nokia handset modem by using some settings.Using Nokia pc suite,first connect your nokia handset with pc.Now click 'Connect To The Internet' and get internet connection.Now disconnect internet connection.Then go to Start/Run and write ncpa.cpl and enter.A new page will appear.Here find a word like 'Nokia6120c USB Modem#1' (according to your handset name) and right click on it.In the new dialogue box,go to properties/configure and write in the box named maximum speed (bps) as 92160 and then press OK.Now double click in Nokia6120c USB Modem#1 and then click Dial.Then your pc will connected with internet.The most interesting thing that you don't need to use Nokia Pc Suite for internet connection.Just write ncpa.cpl in Run option and enter or go to Control Panel/Network Connection and double click in Nokia6120c USB Modem#1 then click Dial.Now your internet speed become faster then before.But note that,if you get Nokia Pc Suite after that,this settings will changed as default.So don't use Nokia Pc Suite after that and enjoy a speedy internet from your nokia handset.

New partition without formatting drive in Widows 7 and Vista

Sometimes we need to make new partition in hard drive.But in usual way,you must format harddisk for do this.Using following procedure, you can easily create new partition without formatting harddisk.This tricks is usable for Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating system.Just do the follow....

1) Right click on My Computer and click Manage. Disk Management Window will Pop-up.

2) Click on Storage and then click Disk management at the left sidebar.

3) You can see all the storage media at the right column with their basic information like File system type, and status. Now you have to choose Disk Drive   that you want to partition. Right click on that drive and click Shrink Volume from menu.  After that windows automatically search free space available in that drive.

4) Shrink window will Pop-up.After that insert disk size you want to partition from Disk you choose.Choose according to your free space available in hard disk which you want to make partition.

5) After that click shrink.After some times you get new Disk without deleting data.

6) This newly created Disk is not accessible right now.

7)Right click on unallocated drive and choose New Simple Volume option.

8)Click on Next. Specify the size(you can choose whole size right now).

9) Choose Drive Letter you want and clock on Next.

10) Choose Format This Volume With Following Settings.  Choose NTFS (more secure than FAT32)  in File System,  Default in Allocation Unit Size.Leave Volume as New Volume(You can give your desire name too).

11) Check Perform a Quick Format  to format quick.And click on Next.

12) Process is complete and you get new drive.

Customize the Quick Launch Bar in Windows XP

In Windows XP, the customizable Quick Launch Bar also gives you convenient shortcuts to your favorite programs, folders, and files. The Quick Launch Bar remains accessible from most windows, so it’s a handy way to open the applications and files you use frequently.

If the Quick Launch Bar isn’t already visible to the right of the Start button , you’ll need to turn it on. To do that, right-click an open area of the taskbar. Hover your mouse pointer over Toolbars, then click Quick Launch. The Quick Launch Bar appears on your taskbar.

To add a program shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar, click the Start button, click All Programs, then click and drag the application you want to the Quick Launch Bar. Release the mouse button and the application’s icon appears in the Quick Launch Bar.

To add a folder or file shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar, open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder, subfolder, or individual file you want, click and drag the folder or file you want to the Quick Launch Bar. Release the mouse button and the icon for the folder or file appears in the Quick Launch Bar.

To remove a shortcut from the Quick Launch Bar, right-click on the icon in the Quick Launch Bar of the application, folder, or file you want to remove and right-click it, click Delete, and then click Yes when asked if you’re sure you want to delete the shortcut. Note: Although the shortcut is removed from the Quick Launch Bar, the actual application, folder, or file has not been deleted from your computer

6. Type the value name "StartMenuLogOff" and press Enter.

8. On the Value Data type the number "1" to hide the button.
9. Press OK.
10. Restart your computer.

How to stop low disk space warning

Protect your pen drive from virus

1. First don't open or explore directly pen drive.Open My Computer and write drive letter (if pen drive is L drive write L) in Address bar and enter.
2. Go to Tools->Folder option->view and click in the check box named 'Show hidden files and folders','Hide extensions for known file types','Hide protected operating system  files' and show all hidden system files.Now if you find any suspicious hidden file (*.exe) in pen drive ,delete them.
3. Make a folder named autorun.inf so that autorun virus virus cannot enter to pen drive.

When virus attack computer.,it destroy many important file.But at first virus attack to hidden file so that you can not show hidden file in your Folder option.So you can not see hidden file.If you face this problem,first go to Start->Run and write regedit and enter.Now go to HkEk_CURRENT_USER->Software->Microsoft->Windows->Currentversion->Explorer->advanced->Hidden  and double click on Hidden option.Give value data 1 and then OK.then close registry editor.Now we can show your hidden file in Folder option.

Disable windows error reporting

When an error occur in computer,a dialogue box appear and computer tell us to send an error report.This option is quite disgusting.If you want to disable this option follow this way...

1. Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.
2. Click the Advanced tab on your System Properties dialog box.
3. Click the Error Reporting button on the Advanced tab.
4. Place a checkmark next to "Disable error reporting."
5. Leave the other radio button unchecked next to the text labeled, "But notify me when critical errors occur."
6. Click OK.

Now you will not show  error message sending box when error  is occurred.

Change the folder view

This tricks shows you how to setup any folder to display its contents as a photo folder. In many cases, you save your images/photos in a folder different than "My Pictures" (under "My Documents"). Since this folder you choose is just like any other normal folders, its contents displayed as a listing of files. You can temporary change it by just right-click and select "View" >> "Thumbnails". But if you want to change the folder so that everytime you come back, the folder itself, as well as all its subfolders, display the contents as photo thumbnails.

1. Right-click on the folder you choose and select "Properties"
2. Select "Customize" Tab. Then under "Use this folder type as a template", select "Pictures (best for many files)"
3. Check on "Also apply this template to all subfolders" to apply the setting to subfoders as well
4. Click OK to exit
