Usually we scan our computer for virus by using different antivirus software.But if you have no updated antivirus software you can use your mozilla firefox for scanning virus.You can scan computer's system files through mozilla firefox.For this you have to use a addon named 'BitDefender QuickScan'.You can download it here .Download this addon and install it.Then restart firefox.Now you can see a icon named ' Bitdefender quickscan' below firefox.When click this icon,it will scan all system file of your computer.After scan,click on 'Report' and see the result.But remember that this addon can only scan your system file.So use a updated antivirus for your computer for full protection from virus.
