In windows operating system,when you connect a pen drive or memory card it open automatically,which known as Auto run.But if there are any virus in the pen drive or memory card,then it will enter to your computer.So to protect your computer from virus,must stop Auto run.For this, go to my computer,then right click.Then go to manage/computer management/service and application/services/shell hardware detection option.Now open shell hardware detection option,make Service status 'Stop' and select 'Disable' in startup type option.Now when you connect any USB drive it will not play automatically.but note that,if you use this option,your DVD ROM will show as CD ROM in your computer.But don't worry,your DVD ROM will run normally and no problem will occur for reading DVD..
